A Medieval cast copper-alloy and enamelled heraldic harness pendant (c. 1255-c. 1303). The pendant is in the form of a shield with a straight top and curving sides. It has a central suspension loop at the top turned through 90° to the plane of the pendant. The rear face is plain. There is no patina. The device may be described thus: Gules a fess between six martlets or (a gold horizontal band with three martlets above and below) There is a tiny fleck of gilding on the horizontal band and also on one of the martlets. An incomplete cast copper-alloy shield-shaped harness pendant of medieval date (c.1200-c. 1400). The pendant has a straight top, curving sides and a pointed base. At the centre of the top of the shield there is a suspension bar with a loop turned through 90° to the plane of the pendant. The rear face of the pendant is plain. A Medieval copper alloy heraldic horse harness pendant, dating to c. AD 1200-1400. The pendant is shield shaped, tapering to a point at the bottom and with a transverse attachment loop projecting from the top edge. The pendant is decorated with an inner shield, left reserved against a recessed border containing a series of raised pellets. The object is shaped as a square topped shield with convex sides meeting at a point at the base, and is flat in cross section. There is the stub of a suspension loop slightly to the right of centre on the upper edge. This tapers to a narrow point where the break has occurred, with the loop missing. Medieval Horse Harness Pendant: Complete but worn cast copper alloy and enamel shield-shaped horse harness pendant. The front of the shield carries the design of a backward looking white wyvern (2 legged, winged dragon with a long tail) set against a blue or green background with a single 6 lobed white mullet in the upper right hand corner. The integrally cast suspension loop is set at a right angle to the shield at the midpoint of the upper edge. Harness pendants of this type are dated c.1200-1400.

A bent and corroded copper-alloy horse harness pendant of probable 14th century date. The pendant takes the form of a spade-shield bearing a heraldic device of Or fretty gules (gold lozenges on a red background) - this appears to be the arms of the de Verdon family. Only traces of the red enamel survive and the gilding has also been lost.
