Cast copper alloy double looped circular buckle of late medieval or post-medieval date (1450-1550). The frame of the buckle is broadly circular in plan with a cast central bar to which a sheet metal pin is fitted. One end of the pin is wrapped around the central bar; the other is tapered terminating in a blunted point. There is no evidence of the frame of a pin rest. The external edge of the buckle is faceted and indented forming a five petalled flower, the shape of the exterior of the frame is echoed by cast (or possibly incised) lateral panel in-filled with vertical lines.
