Incomplete and probably Medieval lead seal matrix, probably originally circular, with a c.5mm diameter hole pierced close to one edge. It weighs 45.77g and measures 41.57x33.21x5.24mm. Its original diameter would have been circa 42mm. One side is smooth and plain while the other has the inscription [...]IMPER[...]L around the edge, with possibly a double-stranded cross at the centre (although only a very small part remains).
