Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount. It has a central D shaped section with incised radiating lines creating a scallop shell appearance. There are large lobed knops projecting from the opposite ends (one in the centre of the straight edge of the D one in the centre of the curve). The one projecting from the straight edge starts with a narrow projecting bar which expands into a terminal in the form of a square flanked by triangles.
