An incomplete cast copper alloy signet finger-ring of Late Medieval date (AD 1400 - AD 1500). Length: 18.2mm; width: 22.7 and 2.3mm thick. Weight: 4.24g. The hoop is 'D'- shaped in cross-section, flat on the inside and the shoulders widen towards the oval bezel which measures 14.0mm x 11.7mm. The die design has a grooved border within which there are crowned ligated initial letters: MR (Maria Regina). An almost complete copper alloy strap end of Medieval date, c. AD 1330 – c. AD 1380 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 135, ref. 620). Length: 31.5mm; width: 21.3mm and 5.5mm thick. Weight: 8.81g. This tongue-shaped strap end is made of sheet copper alloy. The front plate has sides which are bent at angle of 90° to which a separate back plate is soldered. A complete cast copper alloy mount of post-Medieval date. (c.1600-c.1750). The mount is convex at the front and flat at the rear. In plan it is in the form of a heart with a fleur-de-lis terminal. The side fleurs of the fleur-de-lis curve round to join the ridge and thus have circular holes within. At the rear are two integral tapering spikes, circular in cross-section. A mount in the form of a human figure with blue champlevé enamel eyes with apertures (on body) and a stud at the rear of the head for attachment. The mount is worn and corroded but some facial features, as well as the eyes, are visible on the solid oval head.
