Post-Medieval sheet lead powder holder cap (c. 17th century). It has straight sides, now squashed inwards, with an oval top (also squashed and distorted). Where the sides meet the top there are two attachment loops, one on each side, one split in the middle, the other bent inwards. The sides are comprised of a strip of lead bent into a circle and attached to edges of the circular face. The other face remains open to allow the rest of the powder holder to fit into it. A cast lead-alloy cap from a post-medieval powder measure (c. 17th century). It has slightly flaring sides from open base to closed top, at one point now squashed inwards, with 40% of the side missing. The top is sub-circular with an irregular hole through it removing c.10%. Where the sides meet the top there are two attachment loops, one on each side, both squashed down slightly towards the sides. A seam is prominent on the side. A Post-Medieval lead powder measure cap, probably dating to the 17th century. The cap has slightly flaring sides, with a flat, oval top. The cap has been crushed, with the sides squashed closely together. The remains of two attachment loops survive at the top of the cap, one on either side. Faint vertical casting seams are visible on either side of the cap, on a line perpendicular to the attachment loops. The measure cap is 28.13mm iin length, 21.04mm in width and weighs 10.93g.
