A circular cast lead alloy weight of uncertain date with a trapezoidal cross section. A 'D' is stamped on one face and there is an incised line on the other. It is 23.8mm in diametre, 6.6mm in thicknes and weighs 27.82g. 0.98 ounces. Plain weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses and are hard to date precisely. This example is about an ounce in the avoirdupois system in use since the Medieval period suggesting a late Medieval - Post Medieval date.

Post Medieval cast lead button with integral shank which is now broken. The button is circular with a slight projection at one edge producing a 'drop' shape. It has a slightly concave back and conical front, producing a broadly triangular cross section. The conical front is decorated with three raised concentric rings around a central pellet with thinner raised lines radiating out from the centre to the edge. Post medieval lead cloth seal, issued during the reign of Queen Anne. Part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. It is comprised of four discs in two conjoined pairs, joined in the centre with a rectangular tab. The seal is bent in the centre at the tab so the pairs of disks are back to back. A projecting tab on the back of one outer disk has been pushed through a hole in the other outer disk and stamped flat, joining them. Post-Medieval sheet lead powder holder cap (c. 17th century). It has straight sides, now squashed inwards, with an oval top (also squashed and distorted). Where the sides meet the top there are two attachment loops, one on each side, one split in the middle, the other bent inwards. An incomplete post medieval lead toy probably a whistle dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1800. The toy commences in an old break and is cylindrical with a hollow circular cross sectioned interior and a hexagonal external cross-section. The internal diameter of the toy is 9.07mm tapering to 3.88mm at the opposite end. The toy exhibits a series of irregular raised mouldings running down the sides of the body, probably a decorative pattern which is now unclear, there appears to be curved foliate designs near the break. A fragment of a Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating from the 17th century. The fragment consists of approximately 25-30 per cent of two discs pressed together. It has worn breaks almost all the way around it's edge. About 10 per cent of the edge is not broken and is part of the original edge of the seal. A total of 233 pieces of lead ball shot, brought in for recording in batches of 125, 91 and 17 respectively, but here amalgamated as from the same findspot. A large number (100) have a weight of 11g +/- 1.5g, with a second main group (31) around 32g +/- 1.5g. This suggests a predominant use of pistol shot, with a notable presence of musket shot according to the main calibre divisions (Foard and Morris 2012, 121). The symbol consists of a stamped grid style pattern enclosed in a circle of about 12.3mm in diameter. The back is plain. The weight is light grey in colour. It measures 33.0mm in diameter and 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 25.43g, c.0.90oz. A Post-Medieval to Modern discoidal lead weight, probably dating to c. AD 1550-1850. The weight is discoidal (circular and flat), c. 30.9mm in diameter and 7.7mm thick. Both faces are stamped, with a "B" on one side and several other incomplete or unclear stamps and on the other, at 9 o'clock relative to the previous stamp, is the letter "P". The cap has been crushed, with the sides squashed closely together. The remains of two attachment loops survive at the top of the cap, one on either side.
