A incomplete copper alloy clog or shoe clasp of Late Post-Medieval or Modern date (c. AD 1790 - c. AD 1930). The main part of the clasp, the plate is rectangular in shape. At one end there is an integral "anchor"-shaped hook with a C-shaped hook on a narrow neck projecting from the cnetre of the end of the plate. The front of the plate is inlaid in silver with a floral pattern. There is a flower head in each corner: the two in the upper part are made up of 6 pellets each and the two lower ones with 7 pellets each. The flower heads on each side are linked by a curved 'stem'. A cast copper alloy toggle clasp, dating to the 16th / 17th century. The mount is triangular in form with two open circles cut out from each long side at the top and bottom. There is a three-pronged crown design on each side between these open circles, with a central circular hole between for decoration. There is one rivet hole towards the base of the clasp that retains an iron rivet, the base is crenellated while the peak has a rounded knop which would have slotted into a clasp attachment, now missing.
