Three fragments of a Post Medieval copper alloy cast spherical (crotal) bell dating to c1600 - 1850. The bell would have comprised two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere would have had two circular sound holes with a rectangular suspension loop projecting from the top between them. One half of a Post-medieval cast copper-alloy two-part sword-belt toggle-clasp dating from the 16th to 17 century. Toggle-clasps have two sections which lock together, one with an eye and the other with a toggle-bar; this artefact is the section with a toggle-bar. The piece has a main plate with a bar extending from one end on the front of which is an integral D-shaped plate which therefore sits forward of the main plate and acted as a the toggle. A cast copper-alloy spout possibly from a tap or a ewer of later medieval or post-medieval date. The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout. One face of the ridge has a rough edge and probably the ridge indicated where it was joined to the vessel. The copper alloy now has a light green patina interspersed with black. A complete cast lead or lead alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and flat with a rectangular section. It is stamped on one face with the mark "I" and a symbol. The symbol consists of a stamped grid style pattern enclosed in a circle of about 12.3mm in diameter. The back is plain. The weight is light grey in colour. It measures 33.0mm in diameter and 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 25.43g, c.0.90oz. An incomplete dress or hair pin of early Post-Medieval date. The pin has a copper alloy globular head made of two hempisherical halves. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar. The shaft if aslo copper alloy and goes right through the head with the top visible at the top of the head, although level with it. The circular sectioned shaft measure 1.5mm in diameter and survives for 25.5mm where it appears to have broken at a bend. Both faces are stamped, with a "B" on one side and several other incomplete or unclear stamps and on the other, at 9 o'clock relative to the previous stamp, is the letter "P". A Post-Medieval copper alloy enamelled button dating to c. AD 1640-1700. The button is circular in plan, with a convex front and concave reverse. From the centre of the reverse an integral shank expands, terminating in a now incomplete drilled loop. The sides are trapezoid in cross section with flat front and back and angled sides. The outline of the loops forms a continuous elongated oval. The frame is 27.46mm long with a maximum width of 24.48mm and a thickness of 1.85mm .
