Post Medieval cast copper alloy pot foot and part of the leg. The leg is D shaped in section with a flat back; it is broken off just above a transverse collar with an old break. The prominent collar is rounded in section. The foot is also D shaped in section with five very worn moulded ribs running down the front and a flat back. The base of the foot is rounded. It is 37.9mm long, 23.5mm wide and 14.1mm thick; it weighs 44.75 grams. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1100-1800 for serving and cooking. A copper-alloy late medieval or post medieval fragment of vessel repair or handle attachment. The piece is roughly rectangular in shape, though with one edge expanding in a curve, and consists of two metal sheets riveted together. Both sheets have been cut to the same shape. though one has lost about a third compared to the other. The sheets are connected by two rolled copper-alloy sheet rivets; this would have been three when the borken sheet was complete.
