A corroded and incomplete sub-rectangular cast copper-alloy mount of post-medieval date. The object is flat with a main rectangular body which incurves at one end to a width of 4.4mm before an old break; it appears to be truncated at the other end due to old damage. Before the end narrows there is a pair of double transverse grooves on the upper surface between which possible decoration within a rectangular field now obscured by corrosion.
