A fragment of a Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating from the 17th century. The fragment consists of approximately 25-30 per cent of two discs pressed together. It has worn breaks almost all the way around it's edge. About 10 per cent of the edge is not broken and is part of the original edge of the seal.

A copper alloy silver plated contemporary copy of a halfcrown of Charles I (AD 1625-1649) dating to AD 1634 to 1649. The coin has a thin sheet of silver over the top onto which the dies were stamped. One face of the silver has been almost worn smooth while the other bears the trace of an round, garnished, royal shield. Due to the condition of the coin a closer date cannot be determined.

A coin hoard of four copper alloy cartwheel pennies of George III, Birmingham mint second issue, dated 1797 (Spink p.417 no.3777). Probably a chance purse loss. One penny has been deliberately bent in two places and drilled through. As this modified coin was found in a group with other pennies, suggested to be a purse loss, it can be inferred that, despite the modification, the coin would still have been an accepted item of tender.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy handle from a cooking vessel such as a posnet or skillet. The handle is a shallow 'D' shape in cross section, with a flat upper surface and a convex, rounded reverse. There are rough breaks on both ends, one ot a c30 degree angle, the other transverse. The upper surface has three parallel but not equidistant (two on one side being closer together), longitudinal grooves but is otherwise undecorated.. A post-medieval two part cloth seal, probably from Valenciennes in France. The front disc and part of the projection survives but the back disc and tab that linked the disks are missing to old breaks. The front disc has a raised design of a basically rendered swan standing left with the inscription [...]ALLENC[...] written in Roman capitals around the left edge and towards the base. On the reverse of this disc are a number of depressions. No obvious impression of cloth survives. A perforation is present adjacent to the projection towards the circumference.

A total of 233 pieces of lead ball shot, brought in for recording in batches of 125, 91 and 17 respectively, but here amalgamated as from the same findspot. A large number (100) have a weight of 11g +/- 1.5g, with a second main group (31) around 32g +/- 1.5g. This suggests a predominant use of pistol shot, with a notable presence of musket shot according to the main calibre divisions (Foard and Morris 2012, 121). The obverse has a bust facing right with the letters I R to left, inscription to right ilegible, all within a circle of pellets. The reverse shows a crown above the numerals XI for 11 shillings. The weight measures 14.98mm x 14.72mm is 3.17mm in thickness and weighs 4.34g, 66.8grains.

An incomplete dress or hair pin of early Post-Medieval date. The pin has a copper alloy globular head made of two hempisherical halves. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar. The shaft if aslo copper alloy and goes right through the head with the top visible at the top of the head, although level with it. The circular sectioned shaft measure 1.5mm in diameter and survives for 25.5mm where it appears to have broken at a bend.

From the centre of the reverse an integral shank expands, terminating in a now incomplete drilled loop. Part of a copper alloy Post Medieval trapezoidal buckle dating to cAD1620 - 1680. Only one loop of the double loop buckle remains. The outer edge is expanded into a triangle in the centre, flanked by points at each corner. On the front of the outside edge there is an incised line running from top to bottom. The front has traces of a silvery sheen but the back is plain. The buckle measures 17.46mm in length, 11.90mm in width and weighs 1.26g.

The cap has been crushed, with the sides squashed closely together. The remains of two attachment loops survive at the top of the cap, one on either side. Faint vertical casting seams are visible on either side of the cap, on a line perpendicular to the attachment loops.

Post-medieval copper alloy pot leg and foot dating to c. AD 1500 to 1700. The leg is D-shaped in cross section with a flat back and a convex front. Any trace of ribs on the outer face is now unclear. The leg terminates in a very worn foot, almost oval now in cross section and rounded at the slightly widened base, separated from the leg by a raised transverse collar.
The piece is 42.04mm tall, 29.72mm wide at the foot, 17.8mm thick and weighs 71.6g.
