Two copper alloy rings, formed of a double loop of square sectioned wire the ends and middle of which are attached to each other and to the top of a knop. The knop has a circular top to which the wire is attached below which is a constriction then a oval terminal. Both the loops and terminal are complete with no breaks suggesting it was suspended from another obect through the loops. It is 20.1mm long, 16.6mm wide and the wire is 1.2mm thick; it weighs 1.06 grams. It is unclear what this is from. The finder has suggested a parallel with a wire looped terminal on a Medieval …

Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount. It has a central D shaped section with incised radiating lines creating a scallop shell appearance. There are large lobed knops projecting from the opposite ends (one in the centre of the straight edge of the D one in the centre of the curve). A corroded, plain copper-alloy rivet-like object which might have been used to hold repairs to a vessel in place. It is sub-oval in plan with a possibly break giving a broadly straight edge to one side. On the lower surface there is an integral protruding prong towards this edge whose terminal protrudes to one side and is flattened at the base. Rolled sheet rivets replaced the earlier folded sheet rivets in pot repairs from the late 15th - 16th centuries (Egan 2005, 101) suggesting a possible late medieval to post-medieval date for this piece. It is of a red-brown metal with patches o…
