Post Medieval cast lead button with integral shank which is now broken. The button is circular with a slight projection at one edge producing a 'drop' shape. It has a slightly concave back and conical front, producing a broadly triangular cross section. The conical front is decorated with three raised concentric rings around a central pellet with thinner raised lines radiating out from the centre to the edge. A damaged, now incomplete, post-medieval lead-alloy button. The button has a slightly convex front with a moulded design of a sunken six petalled flower with raised lines between each petal that emerge from a central rosette. There is a line border around each sunken petal in low relief. The edge is shaped to the curved edges of the petals, though with alternating lines and double pellets that protrude. Post-medieval lead alloy button, probably mid 17th - 18th century in date. Raised, moulded quatrefoil decoration on the front. The back is worn with a possible maker's mark which is illegible. The attachment loop/shank is missing with a scar in the cnetre where it was attached. It is 16.61mm long, 15.50mm wide and 4.63mm thick. It weighs 3.65 grams. A similar button can be seen in Read (2005:80), no. 328 which he dates to the early 18th century.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy enamelled button dating to c. AD 1640-1700. The button is circular in plan, with a convex front and concave reverse. From the centre of the reverse an integral shank expands, terminating in a now incomplete drilled loop. Traces of iron corrosion are affixed to both the loop and reverse face of the button, suggetsing the original presence of an iron chain. The front of the button is decorated with a foliate design cast in low relief, with four petals radiating out from a central hemispherical boss. Post Medieval cast one-piece lead alloy button with an integral shank dating to c 17th century. The button is circular with a convex domed front and flat back. The central pellet is encircled by an asymmetrical moulded decoration divided into quarters. The button has a concave front and is decorated with stamped annulets and incised floreate design in the centre, within a circular outer border there are larger annulets. The reverse has an integral drilled attachment loop and is flat and undecorated. Date: Post medieval. Diameter: 27.1mm. Thickness: 5.7mm without loop,11.6mm with loop. Weight: 14.2g.

The button is circular and flat in, with traces of an integral fastening loop which has broken off on the reverse, leaving two stubs. Two complete cast copper-alloy post-medieval buttons dating to the 17th to 18th century. The buttons are circular and flat, with integral D-shaped drilled fastening loops on their reverses. The front of both buttons is decorated with an engraved sexfoil of circular petals between six pointed triangular petals.
