A damaged fragment from a cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of post-medieval date (17th century AD). The fragment consists of the pin bar with small parts of the flat sides emerging at one end. The pin bar has a double lobed knop extant at one end. It has a square cross-section and has been bent twice from opposing sides as a result of old damage. Orange/brown corrosion product at its centre suggests that the missing pin was made of iron.
