The copper alloy matrix from the end of one arm of a Post-Medieval multi-armed seal matrix. The face of the matrix (the die) is broadly circular and inscribed with a design of a heart pierced by two arrows with drops of blood or tears above and to the sides and a probable crown or possible eye above; all within a engrailed border. From the back of the matrix rises the stub of a handle, the handle is circular in section with a district casting line running down the sides at 12 and 6 o'clock on the matrix. Cast copper-alloy pedestal type seal matrix with a oval die from which rises the handle in the form of a flattened trefoil on a short, oval sectioned, stem. The upper loop of the trefoil is missing to an old break, the lower side lobes have roughly circular holes through them. The die has an incised design of the letters I C with a branching tree running between them and spreading out above and below them and no outer border. A cast copper-alloy post-medieval one-piece button dating to the 17th to 18th century. The button is circular and flat in, with traces of an integral fastening loop which has broken off on the reverse, leaving two stubs. Two complete cast copper-alloy post-medieval buttons dating to the 17th to 18th century. The buttons are circular and flat, with integral D-shaped drilled fastening loops on their reverses. The front of both buttons is decorated with an engraved sexfoil of circular petals between six pointed triangular petals. An incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval double looped buckle dating to c.1550 to 1650. Ninety percent of one loop is missing to old breaks near the bar. The outside edge is sub-oval with knops on each outside corner and at the end of the bar, the inside edge is sub-oval. The front is bevelled both internally and externally.
