A piece of probably Early Medieval copper alloy thin decorated sheet. The piece is broadly triangular with a slightly convex curved long edge, one shorter concave curved side and an old break along the other edge. The front of the plate is gilded and has a inscribed decoration in the form of a 'celtic trinity knot' or trinquetra formed by the interlace of three pointed ovals. The long edge of the plate is bordered by a inscribed line and there is the start of a similar line by the broken edge.
