Part of a Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating from c AD1500-1650. One loop is missing at an old, worn break. The central strap bar is narrowed with a small moulded knop at either end. The pin is missing. The front of the frame has bevelled edges and the back is flat and undecorated. The piece has a brown patina. It measures 25.9mm in length,1 9.3mm in width, 2.5mm in thickness and weighs 2.94g.

A small, complete Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating to c. 1350 to 1650. The loops are oval with slightly expanded outer edges. The frame is D-shaped in cross section. The frame has bevelled inside and outside edges and there is a pin rest at each side of the frame. The pin bar is narrowed from the frame and recessed and the pin is hooked around it. The in is oval in cross section and tapers to a point. The piece has a green patina. It measures 18.40mm in length, 13.97mm in width, 1.97mm in thickness and weighs 1.29g.

An incomplete dress or hair pin of early Post-Medieval date. The pin has a copper alloy globular head made of two hempisherical halves. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar. The shaft if aslo copper alloy and goes right through the head with the top visible at the top of the head, although level with it. The circular sectioned shaft measure 1.5mm in diameter and survives for 25.5mm where it appears to have broken at a bend.

The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout. The obverse has a bust facing right with the letters I R to left, inscription to right ilegible, all within a circle of pellets. The reverse shows a crown above the numerals XI for 11 shillings. The weight measures 14.98mm x 14.72mm is 3.17mm in thickness and weighs 4.34g, 66.8grains.
Withers (2011:26) catalogues this type and suggests they are mainly British, he suggests (p.68-9) 11s would be for an Angel (71 grains in 1604-1619) or double crown (70.25grains in 1619 to 1657).…

The double oval looped frame has a moulded shell like knop in the centre of each loop and a small knop at each end of the narrowed strap bar. The shell shaped knops have convex curved outer edges and converge to an inner point that projects into the loop slightly. A translucent yellow glass bead, probably dating to the Post Medieval period. The bead is spherical with a central piercing and a band of opaque white around the cnetre, caused by a change in colour in the glass trail rather than an applied band.
It measures 9.30mm in diameter and weighs 1.20g. The glass appears to have been wound in a rail to form the bead.
Glass beads are difficult to date with any certainty but the size, shape and colour would suggest that it is probably of Post Medieval date.

A Post Medieval lead cloth seal dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1800. The cloth seal consists of the remains of two circular discs joined together by a connecting strip and a rivet that was pushed through the hole in one disc from the other disc and stamped flat. One disc has a stamped incuse initial M at the base. The other disc has a merchants mark formed of a vertical line topped with a 4 or cross with a curved right arm and longer left arm that curls under at the end into a circle, possibly a stylised T. An incomplete cast copper alloy spoon handle dating to the Post-Medieval period (c. AD 1450-1600). The surviving object comprises part of the of the stem of the handle and a spherical and knop close to its terminal, although the terminal itself is missing.
The spoon's stem is approximately oval in cross-section although it is quite irregular from chips to its outside. This stem survives for 11.2mm before ending in a raised collar above which is a wider spherical knop. An incomplete Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating to c. AD 1500 to 1800. The surviving part consists of one complete disc with its integral rivet and part of the connecting strip now broken at the end.
The rivet is stamped with a partial raised privy or merchant's mark, with a central longitudinal line flanked on its right by the letter G and on the left by another symbol. Below the line are the tops of a design possibly the remains of a pair of Xs. The remainder of the mark has been lost with the second, ring shaped, disc.
