An incomplete Medieval silver halfpenny of Richard II (AD 1377-1399) or Henry IV (AD 1399-1413), probably dating to AD 1390-1412 or uncertain type and unclear mint. The legend on the reverse has been lost through clipping or wear, and there is a break at a chord that loses about a quarter of the circumference The proposed dating is based on the style of crown, the relative narrowness of the jaw-line and the presence of ANGLIE in the obverse legend, as opposed to an abbreviated form.
