A segment of a Roman silver denarius of Caracalla dating to AD 213-217 (Reece period 10). LIBERAL AVG VIIII depicting Libralitas standing with cornucopia and abacus, minted at Rome. RIC IV, Caracalla 302. The piece is approximately one quarter of the coin.
The direct distance between the two ends of the circumference is 14.7mm, while the edges that approximate radii are 13.3mm and 11.6mm long. The piece is 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.25g.

Only around c. 40% of the flan survives, a segment between approximately 10 and 4 o'clock. The coin was found on a beach and is extremely worn.

Spanish Post Medieval silver one real of Charles II (1661- 1700), dating to AD 1691. Mint of Potosi, Bolivia. The coin is very worn and probably clipped with c.25% of the design lost off the flan. However poor striking resulting in some of the design being off the flan is common with these coins.
