Incomplete cast copper alloy hooked fitting of probable post Medieval date (c.1600-1700). The fitting has a flat oval body with a tapered hook folded under at one end and a broken attachment loop at the other end. The oval plate has ferrous corrosion in the centre of the upper surface and along the base of the underside which probably is probably the remains of an iron rivet. There is no discernible surface decoration. The hook possibly formed part of a sword belt and rough parallels can be found in 'Hooked Clasps & Eyes' by Brian Read, p.222.

Probably a strap fitting of cast copper alloy, bent over at one end. One end has a rectangular strip, bent over to form a crude hook; it is rectangular in section and appears complete. Below this hook is a raised collar on the front below which the object widens slightly before tapering in gradually and ending in a expanded oval knop at the foot. Cast copper alloy hooked clasp with openwork design. This is the hooked section of a two part clasp. The main plate is heart shaped with a trefoil opening in the centre. At the top projects a rounded knop containing the residue of an iron rivet in the centre. The lower point of the heart extends downwards and continues into a forward facing blunt hook. Two copper alloy rings, formed of a double loop of square sectioned wire the ends and middle of which are attached to each other and to the top of a knop. The knop has a circular top to which the wire is attached below which is a constriction then a oval terminal. Both the loops and terminal are complete with no breaks suggesting it was suspended from another obect through the loops. A hook piece from a copper alloy Post Medieval (c.1550-1750) book clasp. It is a sub-rectangular piece of copper alloy sheet, with a slightly flared attachment end. At the opposite end is a curved hook (3.6mm wide) the end of which is missing. Below this the main body of the clasp is 9.0mm in width, 9.1mm at the attachment end. At the centre of the attachment end is a perforation through the upper surface for a rivet, now missing. A damaged spherical cast copper-alloy post-medieval animal 'crotal' (bell). This complete example has a sub-square suspension loop between two circular sound holes located on the upper hemisphere. The sound holes are recessed on the outer surface and measure c. 5/6mm in diameter. The upper hemisphere is plain. The suspension loop has a angled top and the curve of the bell continues through the opening suggesting it was made using the detachable sprue-piece casting method developed in the 17th century. The front and back are bevelled and the front is decorated with a raised rim around the inner side of the loops and raised foliate patterns (the pattern is discribed by Whitehead (see below) as vine scroll). A fragment of a post-Medieval skillet handle (1679-1717 AD). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan, flat on the upper face and convex on the underside ('D'-shaped in cross-section). On the upper face there are incised letters: S E with an incised linear groove above and below the letters. This handle has a dark green patina with patches of corrosion. The strap bar has a lobed knop at either end. Remains of iron corrosion on the strap suggests the pin, now missing, could have been made of iron. It measures 47.3mm in length, 23.7mm in width, 2.1mm in thickness and weighs 3.7g. Whitehead (2003; 82) illustrates a similar example with a wider frame, no. 512, which is dated 1250-1700 AD.

The loops of the frame are sub oval and the strap bar is recessed. It measures 35.8mm in length, 25.9mm in width and 3.4mm in thickness. It weighs 6.7g. Whitehead (2003; 305), number 305, is a similar example, dated 1500-1650 AD.

Post Medieval cast, copper alloy oval buckle with surviving chape and pin. The frame is drilled and the strap bar is separate, although survives in situ on this example. The buckle frame has moulded decoration; raised vertical lines crossed with diagonal lines either end of the strap bar with scroll work to the sides. The chape is 'D-shaped' with the centre of the curve projecting into an elongated knop which has a raised stud at the end. It is a Whitehead (2003; 96) type I.
