An incomplete copper-alloy object, representing a fragment of a candlestick dating to the post medieval period. The object comprises half of a hollow tubular body and an incomplete curving top. The tube is lozengiform in cross section, and tapers towards the top. The top has approximately a quarter of a loop remaining. A complete cast copper alloy mount of post-Medieval date. (c.1600-c.1750). The mount is convex at the front and flat at the rear. In plan it is in the form of a heart with a fleur-de-lis terminal. The side fleurs of the fleur-de-lis curve round to join the ridge and thus have circular holes within. At the rear are two integral tapering spikes, circular in cross-section. Seventeenth century traders token of Lewis Williams of Chester dating to 1667. Williamson (1889) and Dickinson (1984) catalogue a half penny of Lewis Williams of Chester but not a penny. It appears from the spacing of the words on the obverse that this token has been converted into a penny from a half penny (by removing the word HALF from between HIS and PENY, either by a change on the die or on the token. Cast copper-alloy pedestal type seal matrix with a oval die from which rises the handle in the form of a flattened trefoil on a short, oval sectioned, stem. The upper loop of the trefoil is missing to an old break, the lower side lobes have roughly circular holes through them. Fragment of a cast copper alloy two loop bucke. A rectangular section stem or shank which extends between two flat elements with, in so far as they remain, curved edges, and both bearing a rayed pattern of grooves converging on the stem. Rusty stains on the central shank hint at the former presence of a ferrous metal component. A complete Post Medieval silver gilt dress pin with hollow-cast spherical head, c. 16th century AD. The pin has been drawn from a thick silver wire 2.40 mm in diameter and the shaft measures approximately 72 mm long (including the section through the head) with a 90-degree bend about one third of the length up from the point. Such bends are a common feature of these pins and it appears to be purposeful, perhaps due to use. The pin tapers gradually to a point at one end and ends flat at the other.
