The copper alloy matrix from the end of one arm of a Post-Medieval multi-armed seal matrix. The face of the matrix (the die) is broadly circular and inscribed with a design of a heart pierced by two arrows with drops of blood or tears above and to the sides and a probable crown or possible eye above; all within a engrailed border. From the back of the matrix rises the stub of a handle, the handle is circular in section with a district casting line running down the sides at 12 and 6 o'clock on the matrix. Cast lead Post Medieval finger ring, a decade ring, dating to c.1600-1800. It is circular in plan with a projecting flat oval shaped bezel (diameter 10.60mm x 8.69mm) and ten small projecting knops around the outer circumference. The bezel is plain but on other examples there are designs and letters. This appears to be a lead version of the more usual copper alloy rings of this type. A cast copper alloy spoon finial (length: 34mm; width at shoulders of blade: 13mm; thickness at shoulders of blade: 3mm; weight: 3.03g). Intregrally cast with the blade, the small handle/ end knob (length: 7mm) has bead, reel and spool mouldings. The blade tapers fairly gently from shoulders to the blade where the forked tip has been broken off to form a jagged edge. The front of the blade has been engraved/ incised with possible animal motifs. This decoration, however, is fairly crude and mostly consists of unidentifiable linear markings. Loop part of a two part cast copper alloy dress fastener of Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). The fastener is flat and piriform (drop shaped) in plan with an integral loop at the wider end; the loop is broken on the outer edge and the inner edge curves down on each side to meet at a centre point, flanking this point the border on the main plate curls inwards, continuing the curves. Silver coin which has been polished until no trace of the design or legend remains. The size suggests it was origionally a post medieval three pence. Coins were polished in this way for use as love tokens but also to make small silver items such as boxes.
