A fragment of a post-Medieval skillet handle (1679-1717 AD).
The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan, flat on the upper face and convex on the underside ('D'-shaped in cross-section). On the upper face there are incised letters: S E with an incised linear groove above and below the letters.
This handle has a dark green patina with patches of corrosion. It has an old break at each end and two old dents on the underside.
30.6 x 24.4 x 9.6mm. Weight: 44.25g.
