Post Medieval cast lead-alloy bifaced token of Powell type 2 / Powell type 8 (c. AD 1500-1800). The token is square in shape, but has two rounded corners, one of which is chipped. On one face, at an angle to the edge, the token has a raised design of the letters T B with a star between them and a pellet below. Where the edges are less worn there is the remainder of a stamped border. On the other side, at a 45% angle to the TB , are the numbers 22 with an offset vertical line between them. An incomplete medieval to post-medieval lead bifacial token dating to the period c. 1300-1700. Possibly Powell Type 25 depicting a crown (or alternatively Powell Type 23 depicting churches)/Powell Type 14 depicting a cross with pellet in each quarter. The token has been struck on an irregularly shaped flan which has not been trimmed to the circular border. The token has suffered two losses at its circumference. It measures 22.8mm in diameter and weighs 3.17g.
