Loop part of a two part cast copper alloy dress fastener of Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). The fastener is flat and piriform (drop shaped) in plan with an integral loop at the wider end; the loop is broken on the outer edge and the inner edge curves down on each side to meet at a centre point, flanking this point the border on the main plate curls inwards, continuing the curves. One half, the hook part, of a 17th century cast copper alloy clothes fastener. The hook is a wide flat strip with a curved end bent forward 180 degrees, the tip of which is missing. The hook is attached to one end of an oval plate. The central area of the plate has a raised floral design within a triple line border. The hook is flanked by two circular attachment holes one on either sid and there is another single attachment hole at the opposite end, flanked by rounded knops. A cast copper-alloy post-medieval dress fastener with a large circular central plate. This is the eye section of a hook and eye fastener, with a rectangular loop for the eye extended to one side of the plate. The circular plate is slightly convex and moulded in low relief on the front with a central six-petalled flower and a narrow border at the edge. One part of a Post medieval cast copper alloy two-part blunt hook and eye fastener. The fastener has a circular plate, slightly concave on the back and convex on the front. The front is moulded into a design of a man in doublet and collared shirt with a beard and large, slightly wild hair in locks, all within a beaded border. There are three circular attachment loops projecting from the edge at regular intervals, one (at 7 o'clock) is complete, one (at 11 o'clock) broken and one (at 3 o'clock) almost completely missing where about a fifth of the edge of the plate has been lost.
