Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop buckle with plain undecorated oval loops and narrowed strap bar. The object is 25mm in length and 23mm at its widest point. It weighs 3.26g. A similar buckle is illustrated in Whitehead (2003:54, no.310) which he dates to circa 1500-1650 AD.

Post Medieval cast copper alloy double looped buckle with oval expansions at the centre of each loop with moulded rosettes on the front and lobed knops at the end of the narrowed strap bar. There are significant remains of a wrought iron pin on one loop and on the strap bar. It is 44 mm long, 31.7mm wide and weights 9.08 grams. Whitehead (2003) p.66, no.408 which he dates to c.1550-1650 AD.

An incomplete copper-alloy Post-medieval double loop buckle. The buckle has small projecting lobes at either end of the strap bar. There are slight nitches at either end of the D shaped loops to act as a pin rest, the pin is missing.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to early post-medieval date. The frame is formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface, the latter more shallowly; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar thus has a trapezoidal cross-section, it is bent upwards slightly. The pin is missing.

Part of a copper alloy Post Medieval trapezoidal buckle dating to cAD1620 - 1680. Only one loop of the double loop buckle remains. The outer edge is expanded into a triangle in the centre, flanked by points at each corner. On the front of the outside edge there is an incised line running from top to bottom. The front has traces of a silvery sheen but the back is plain. The buckle measures 17.46mm in length, 11.90mm in width and weighs 1.26g. Incomplete Late Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame missing the pin. The surviving loop is rectangular with slightly convex sides and rounded corners.Only the stub of the second loop remains and this may have been rectangular or oval. The frame is bevelled externally and internally on the front, though far more shallowly externally. The rear surface is flat. A Post Medieval copper alloy shoe buckle pin and attachment chape dating to between cAD1660 - 1790. The frame of the chape is trapezoidal in shape (often described as 'pot shaped) with rounded outer corners and an internal spike on the outside edge. The pin bar is made of two cylinders with a slot between joined by a crescent shaped internal protrusion with a makers mark of a raised IW within a recessed rectangle. Post Medieval copper alloy buckle frame dating to the period cAD1550 - 1650. The double oval looped frame has a moulded shell like knop in the centre of each loop and a small knop at each end of the narrowed strap bar. The shell shaped knops have convex curved outer edges and converge to an inner point that projects into the loop slightly.
