Cast copper alloy post medieval rectangular shoe buckle with seperate spindle. 17.5mm long, 13.1mm wide, 3.5mm thick and 2.2 grams in weight. The frame is rectangular and slightly curved upwards, with outer sides that expand inwards slightly, these widened areas have no visible pin rests but the triangular pin is still cemented to one of them. The sides are also widened inwards and thickened at the centre to hold the spindle. The iron spindle is still in place, although rusted. Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame with rectangular loops. The loops are rectangular in cross section. It has flat, trefoil projections at the corners and bilobed knops in the centre of the outer edges of the loops and at the ends of the strap bars. The knops in the cnetre of the loops have an incised transverse line across the front to act as a pin rest. One corner is now bent up 45 degrees in profile. The pin is missing. A small, complete Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating to c. 1350 to 1650. The loops are oval with slightly expanded outer edges. The frame is D-shaped in cross section. The frame has bevelled inside and outside edges and there is a pin rest at each side of the frame. The central strap bar is narrowed with a small moulded knop at either end. The pin is missing. The front of the frame has bevelled edges and the back is flat and undecorated. A fragmnet of an enamelled cast copper alloy buckle frame of mid to late seventeenth century date.The frament appaers to be the top part of the buckle frame with the two legs of the animal, which are broken off by old breaks, would have extended to form the other sides of the frams. The fragment is in the shape of an animal with a head at one end and curled tail at the other. There are traces of a white enamal remaining. A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from a post-medieval buckle. It is a rod broken at both ends which are also curved round slightly in the same direction. The lower surface is flat while the upper is decorated with moulded lozenges divided by trios of transverse ridge. The lozenges have the effect of being formed by cutting the corners from triangles. The artefact has corroded to a variable mid-green colour.

The outer edges of the loops are widened. The strap bar is narrowed with lobed knops at either end. The pin is missing. One loop is bent upwards and the loop and strap bar are distorted. The frame is 36.8mm long, 24mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 6.58 grams. A similar example with a recessed strap bar is illustrated in Whitehead (2003:54, Nos. 307) which he suggests dates to c.1500-1650 AD.

Fragment of a cast copper alloy two loop bucke. A rectangular section stem or shank which extends between two flat elements with, in so far as they remain, curved edges, and both bearing a rayed pattern of grooves converging on the stem. Rusty stains on the central shank hint at the former presence of a ferrous metal component.
