A cast lead pot mend, used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. It is sub-circular and slightly curved in profile, with the section above the slot slightly misaligned to that below. The vessel is also curved and c. 3.5mm thick. Its dark orange-brown colour suggests that this is a corroded iron cooking vessel, of early post-medieval date.

Post Medieval - Modern cast lead two disc cloth seal. The disks sit one on top of the other and are joined by a tab. One had a hole in the centre and the other a projecting point which has been pushed through the hole and then stamped flat to fix them together. The tab is mostly missing from old breaks. The stamp has the initials R.W. The discs are bent and at most 27.4mm in diameter, 3.7mm thick and it weighs 14.22 grams. The simplcity of the design of initials rather than a privy mark suggests a later date, 17th-18th century (cf Egan p.84, no.234, 236 and p.86, no.242)

A lead token of Post-Medieval date. Weight 57.01g (0.1257pounds or 2.0110 ounces), diameter 33.21mm, thickness 7.61mm. The upper surface of the artefact is decorated with a raised symbol, possibly two letters joined together which could be CH or more likely HD. It seems that the symbol was a HD, where the vertical of the 'D' was also the right-hand vertical of the 'H' however it must be noted that the lower part of the letters, if this is what they are, have been worn or scraped away leaving just a faint mark visible today. A circular cast lead alloy weight of uncertain date with a trapezoidal cross section. A 'D' is stamped on one face and there is an incised line on the other. It is 23.8mm in diametre, 6.6mm in thicknes and weighs 27.82g. 0.98 ounces. Plain weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses and are hard to date precisely. This example is about an ounce in the avoirdupois system in use since the Medieval period suggesting a late Medieval - Post Medieval date.

A corroded but complete cast lead button of post-medieval date (Th. without loop: c. 9.1mm). The button is domed, with a flat back with central, integral iron loop of circular cross-section; no casting seam is visible. The upper surface bears patterning moulded in low relief, consisting of lines and circles around a central cross, but with obvious symmetry. Read (2005, 57ff.) dates such buttons to the 16th century.

Post Medieval cast lead button with integral shank which is now broken. The button is circular with a slight projection at one edge producing a 'drop' shape. It has a slightly concave back and conical front, producing a broadly triangular cross section. The conical front is decorated with three raised concentric rings around a central pellet with thinner raised lines radiating out from the centre to the edge. Post medieval lead cloth seal, issued during the reign of Queen Anne. Part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. It is comprised of four discs in two conjoined pairs, joined in the centre with a rectangular tab. The seal is bent in the centre at the tab so the pairs of disks are back to back. A projecting tab on the back of one outer disk has been pushed through a hole in the other outer disk and stamped flat, joining them. A decorative lead fire mark of 19th century date. It is square in form, flat and with some slight post-depositional damage to the edges. Post-Medieval sheet lead powder holder cap (c. 17th century). It has straight sides, now squashed inwards, with an oval top (also squashed and distorted). Where the sides meet the top there are two attachment loops, one on each side, one split in the middle, the other bent inwards.
