A fragmnet of an enamelled cast copper alloy buckle frame of mid to late seventeenth century date.The frament appaers to be the top part of the buckle frame with the two legs of the animal, which are broken off by old breaks, would have extended to form the other sides of the frams. The fragment is in the shape of an animal with a head at one end and curled tail at the other. There are traces of a white enamal remaining. According to Geoff Egan, the manufacurers of these buckles also produced enamelled buttons, stirrups and ornate candlesticks. This material was being made at the …

At the centre od the outerside of each loop is an oval expansion stamped with an annulet, possibly part of a very worn flower design. Post Medieval cast copper alloy double looped buckle, circa 1550 - 1650 AD. It is oval in plan with two D-shaped loops and oval in cross section. The centre of the outer edge of each loop is expanded into a oval each decorated with circa five incised transverse lines radiating out from the centre of the inner side. Incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame was double looped but one of the oval loops has been lost to an old break. It is D shaped in section with a flat back and a decorative outer edge. The decoration consists of an asymmetrical moulded pattern of four folded leaves running around the outer edge, the lobed of one overlapping the base of the other. The strap bar has a slight curve due to damage and a lobed knop at each end. The frame measures 21mm long, 23.4mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 3.08 grams. An extremely worn and corroded possible copper-alloy coin weight of medieval or post-medieval date. It is circular and seemingly decorated unifacially, although both surfaces are highly corroded. The upper face appears to depicts a ship. It has a rounded circumference. The design and size of this coin weight are consistent with it relating to a noble, if anything. Withers & Withers (1995, 18-19) illustrate these 15th- and 16th-century coin weights.

A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from a post-medieval buckle. It is a rod broken at both ends which are also curved round slightly in the same direction. The lower surface is flat while the upper is decorated with moulded lozenges divided by trios of transverse ridge. The lozenges have the effect of being formed by cutting the corners from triangles. The artefact has corroded to a variable mid-green colour.

The fragment consists of the pin bar with small parts of the flat sides emerging at one end. The pin bar has a double lobed knop extant at one end. In the centre of the outer edge of each loop is a pair of protruding moulded knops with a indent and incised line between them where the pin rests. Post Medieval copper alloy double loop buckle frame. It has two oval loops which are triangular in section with a flat back and inner side and convex curved outer side. The outer edges of the loops are widened. The strap bar is narrowed with lobed knops at either end. The pin is missing. One loop is bent upwards and the loop and strap bar are distorted. The frame is 36.8mm long, 24mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 6.58 grams. A similar example with a recessed strap bar is illustrated in Whitehead (2003:54, Nos. 307) which he suggests dates to c.1500-1650 AD.
