A corroded, plain copper-alloy rivet-like object which might have been used to hold repairs to a vessel in place. It is sub-oval in plan with a possibly break giving a broadly straight edge to one side. On the lower surface there is an integral protruding prong towards this edge whose terminal protrudes to one side and is flattened at the base. Rolled sheet rivets replaced the earlier folded sheet rivets in pot repairs from the late 15th - 16th centuries (Egan 2005, 101) suggesting a possible late medieval to post-medieval date for this piece. A corroded small lead-alloy ball with attached sprue: shot of post-medieval date. The sprue extends for 2.9mm at a diameter of 5.7mm before expanding to 6.6mm at the point of break. The sphere is small enough to be pistol shot.

A corroded fragment from a cast copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date. The fragment consists of the lower part of the mount, including the hook and the lower part below a rivet hole. Within this lower rivet hole corroded remains of an iron rivet. The sides of the mount are scalloped with rounded protrusions to the sides. The inward-turning hook has been bent slightly to one side as a result of old damage. The metal has corroded to a red-brown colour with larges areas of light-green and off-white corrosion product.

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval plain double-looped buckle frame. The frame is missing one of its loops after an old break at the pin bar. The surviving loop is trapezoidal, with a flat lower surface and an upper surface which is bevelled externally. This gives the frame a triangular cross-section, while the pin bar is semi-circular in section. There is a knopped protrusion at each end of the pin bar. Traces of orange corrosion product at one end of the pin bar suggest that the pin may have been made of iron. The frame has a dark-grey surface where it survive…

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to early post-medieval date. The frame was formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface, the latter more shallowly; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar thus has a trapezoidal cross-section. The pin is now largely missing, apart from the orange/brown corroded mass, the remnant of the iron pin. It tapers towards the hook (now missing), widening slightly just above the hook; the mount has broken as the hook begins. The mount is broadly flat with slight bevelling on its upper surface. It is bevelled externally on the upper surface and rabetted at the outer edge. The bevelling is echoed internally on the lower surface.
