A complete cast lead or lead alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and flat with a rectangular section. It is stamped on one face with the mark "I" and a symbol. The symbol consists of a stamped grid style pattern enclosed in a circle of about 12.3mm in diameter. The back is plain. The weight is light grey in colour. It measures 33.0mm in diameter and 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 25.43g, c.0.90oz. An incomplete dress or hair pin of early Post-Medieval date. The pin has a copper alloy globular head made of two hempisherical halves. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar. The shaft if aslo copper alloy and goes right through the head with the top visible at the top of the head, although level with it. The circular sectioned shaft measure 1.5mm in diameter and survives for 25.5mm where it appears to have broken at a bend. The obverse has a circumferal inscription with a now illegible St George and the Dragon in the centre. The reverse has a circumferal inscription and in the centre inside the inner border, the letter B over initials I.K arranged as a triad. Dates to c1660 AD. Cast copper alloy finger ring with the hoop in the form of a belt strap and buckle. The miniature belt buckle is at one end of the hoop, and the belt strap runs through the buckle with two circular knops, one representing the pin, and a transverse ridge, like a miniature belt stud, on this end of the strap. This end of the strap then sits proud of the rest of the hoop, about 2 mm above it; the bare end of the strap then overlaps the round at a slight angle. Unfinished post-medieval cast copper alloy asymmetrical double looped two piece buckle missing both the spindle and the pin. The had one trapezoid and one D-shaped loop. Both faces are stamped, with a "B" on one side and several other incomplete or unclear stamps and on the other, at 9 o'clock relative to the previous stamp, is the letter "P". A Post-Medieval copper alloy enamelled button dating to c. AD 1640-1700. The button is circular in plan, with a convex front and concave reverse. From the centre of the reverse an integral shank expands, terminating in a now incomplete drilled loop. Description A complete post-Medieval gold finger ring. The ring has a hexagonal bezel, set with a finely faceted garnet which projects from the bezel; convex in profile. Each lateral face of the bezel is decorated with a rectangular facet, with a lower border in slight relief, with a central upwards pointed projection. The underside of the bezel is 'keeled' and faceted, with each bearing a foliate motif left reserved against a niello inlaid field. Post Medieval silver penny of the Commonwealth dating to AD 1649 to 1660. North (1997:206) no.2729. The coin has a worn piercing from the reverse to the obverse near the edge and probably originally circular, at 1 o'clock ont he obverse and 6 o'clock on the reverse. The top and and bottom edges have been bent forward and back to give an S-shaped profile, common on modified coins of this period. Part of the edge is also missing to an old break.
