A corroded fragment from a cast copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date. The fragment consists of the lower part of the mount, including the hook and the lower part below a rivet hole. Within this lower rivet hole corroded remains of an iron rivet. The sides of the mount are scalloped with rounded protrusions to the sides. The inward-turning hook has been bent slightly to one side as a result of old damage. The metal has corroded to a red-brown colour with larges areas of light-green and off-white corrosion product.

In low relief it is inscribed with the following lettering: '4 (inverted)? II//I M'. The other surface is plain. The angular sides of the seal suggest that it may have been cut deliberately.

A break to one side has removed part of the border and one of the pair of rivet holes. The boss has a raised central knop, around which is the openwork main body, consisting of slim curving arms. Medieval to post Medieval cast copper alloy probable swivel. The item consists of a central barrel like part with incised decoration with a cast circular hoop for attachment at each end. Although seemingly formed of two halves with a seam running around the middle of the barrel part there is presently no movement. The exact use of the item is uncertain and it is therefore classified broadly as a strap fitting. The fitting has been dated c.1400-1700.

One side carries the design of a crowned rose with the letters EC to either side. the other side probably shows a scallop shell with the letters GG above. This coin weight was continentally produced for the English market. GG is the mark of Gerrit Greers of Amsterdam. The weight weights1ozt. This coin weight is dated to c.1600-1630.

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval plain double-looped buckle frame. The frame is missing one of its loops after an old break at the pin bar. The surviving loop is trapezoidal, with a flat lower surface and an upper surface which is bevelled externally. This gives the frame a triangular cross-section, while the pin bar is semi-circular in section. There is a knopped protrusion at each end of the pin bar. Traces of orange corrosion product at one end of the pin bar suggest that the pin may have been made of iron. The frame has a dark-grey surface where it survive…

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to early post-medieval date. The frame was formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface, the latter more shallowly; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar thus has a trapezoidal cross-section. The pin is now largely missing, apart from the orange/brown corroded mass, the remnant of the iron pin. A cast lead pot mend, used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. It is sub-circular and slightly curved in profile, with the section above the slot slightly misaligned to that below. The vessel is also curved and c. 3.5mm thick. Its dark orange-brown colour suggests that this is a corroded iron cooking vessel, of early post-medieval date.

A Post-Medieval, cast, copper alloy mount. The mount has a flat plate and is slightly heart shaped with one end tapering and folding underneath to form a hook. The reverse is flat except for the hook and a protruding stud, both of which have been integrally cast. The stud is 5.1 mm high and 5.5 mm in diameter. A cast lead-alloy circular uni-faced token with three visible casting spruces at the cardinal points. The token has a raised design of the initial 'E' on one side, the other side is blank. It is 21.20mm in diameter, 1.85 mm thick and weighs 4.8 grams. Lead tokens were locally made and had a wide variety of uses; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval in date, 1500-1850 AD.
