An enamelled copper alloy disc or plaque, decorated with a picture of a woman's face and a incomplete border of pale blue enamel with the remains of some gilding. It is probably of Medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1300, based on the similarity of style to Limoges and Mosan champlevé enamel work of that period. The human head is forward facing and is enamelled in white with metal defining the eyes and nose. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch. Only the foot and catchplate remain. The bow thins and narrows evenly to the pointed foot. Close to the break in the bow is a small circular indentation and the foot is slightly thickened although vary narrow, with two transverse notches. The catchplate is complete with a circular hole drilled through the centre. The piece measures 29.0mm, 5.75mm in width, 3.95mm in thickness and weighs 3.63g. An incomplete Roman copper alloy initial T-shaped brooch probably dating to cAD 50-150. Only the lower part of the bow and catchplate remain. The top section of the remaining bow has a pattern of four evenly spaced converging incised lines which run down the bow to the start of the foot where there end in a double transverse incised line. An incomplete Roman copper alloy developed T-shaped hinged brooch probably dating to AD75 - 150. Only the wings and upper part of the bow remain. The wings are chipped at each end but nearly complete and have a pattern across the front of a single incised diagonal line about halfway along and a pair of incised lines at the end. The broken ends are filled with white cement to hold the hinge bar. There is a slot through the centre of the back of the head in which the pin would have hinged. A copper alloy fragment of a Roman Aesica brooch, dating to c. AD. 60-90. This fragment consists of the upper section of the high arched bow, wings and part of the crest. At the head of the bow are the wings that are semi-circular in cross-section and have a diameter of 3.9mm and a width of 21.1mm. The circular end caps are broken and the spring and the central bar it was wound around are missing as is the pin. An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch dating to the first century AD. The brooch consists of the head, the right wing and a portion of the bow. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy hinged initial T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The lower half of the bow has been lost, along with the catch-plate, and a portion of the pin.
