A complete circular flat mount, possibly originally a coin with two holes pierced in it. T The mount is made of a flat (c. 0.9mm thick) plate that is circular in plan (15.2mm diameter). While completely worn with no design the size suggests a Roman coin. It is pierced near two opposite sides from its outside surface through to the back by circular holes (c. 1.5mm diameter). within these holes are the remains of two iron rivets. that project c.0.7mm from the reverse of the mount. A copper alloy Roman phallic mount dating from c. AD 43 - 410. The object is 'T-shaped' in plan, the phallus itself being triangular in cross-section and its straight sides gradually converging towards the raised, moulded tip. At the other end, the testicles project at a right angle from the right and left hand sides and an oblique ridge separates the rounded testicles from the phallus. A Roman copper alloy mount or possibly buckle pin dating to the first century AD. The piece is a flat plate, winged in shape with curving wings forming C-shapes running back from a central point. Beteen the base of the 'wings' is a flat projecting triangular tab ending in an old break. There is a groove in each wing which would have been filled with enamel. Small fragments survive in the centre and were probably green or blue. The reverse is plain and the item has a green patina. The pin measures 17.49mm in length, 19.75mm in width and weighs 1.70g. The mount is an almost flat plate, very slightly D-shaped in cross-section with the obvserse slightly convex, and lozenge-shaped in plan, with bevelled edges. A medieval copper alloy mount dating to the period c.AD 1350-1400 The mount has a large central domed boss that is decorated with five horizontal grooves. Either side of this central lobe is a circular domed lug with a separate small copper alloy rivet running through a hole in the centre to secure the fitting to the strap or belt. The rivets are complete with roved ends, one bent to the side. The reverse is concave behind the central boss and end lugs. There are traces of a green patina on the upper surface. The mount consists of a convex cinquefoil in the form of five rounded petals with incised lines radiating from a small incised circular depression in the centre, emphasising the edge of the petals which have convex edges. Post Medieval cast copper mount dating to the 16th or 17th centuries. The mount is in the form of a large circular boss with a projection to one side. The boss has a hollow back and convex front which rises in two steps to a central dome, between the first and second step is a double incised ring. The edges of the boss are irregular and slightly damaged but it seems probable there was only ever one projection. The flat plate of the mount has a tri-lobed end with a narrowed waist underneath, the lobes each side being thin and curved out, one now bent forward at the tip.
