Medieval (late 13th to 15th centuries) composite strap end: The strap end is a sub-rectangle in plan with one end being rounded and the other having a scalloped edge. The strap end is made up of two copper alloy sheets both of each are decorated with an inscised design. One face has a standing figure, holding a vertical staff or long sword. An incomplete medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307). Class 9b2 (North 1037/1) dating to 1300. Mint of Durham. North (1991, 30). The coin measures 18.4mm in diameter, is 1.0mm thick and weighs 1.27g. It has suffered some signficant losses at different points of its circumference. The letter S on the reverse is distinctive and not easily associated with Class 9b; it may be that this is a mule with a Class 10ab reverse. However, the reverse is too worn to be certain about this.

A medieval copper-alloy single-looped buckle frame, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin, but otherwise intact. The frame is oval and with an expanded outer edge. The pin bar is narrowed and offset. The sides are slightly thickened at the ends of the pin bar. The frame is bevelled from the internal edge to the external on the front; the reverse is flat. One of the sides of the buckle has been bent upwards as a result of old damage. The frame measures 17.9mm by 24.7mm by 2.8mm (maximum thickness). It weighs 2.60g. A fragment from a copper-alloy spoon probably of Roman date. The fragment is broken at both ends: diagonally across the bowl and at the point at which what appears to be an unusual junction element connects the bowl and handle. The bowl, being highly truncated, is of indeterminate form, but has a rounded oval back where it connects to the junction element. A fragment from a Roman copper-alloy finger-ring consisting of the bezel and shoulders. The bezel is circular with an engraved border on its upper surface. It may have been recessed to take enamel, which is now heavily decayed. The shoulders of the hoop emerge from the reverse of the bezel. The hoop has a flat rectangular cross-section. The shoulders are both truncated, one below the bezel, the other not far beyond. The hoop has a shallow curve in profile. A stone spindle whorl of possible medieval date. It is of flattened biconvexform, higher in one half than the other. The circumference is also flattened. The fabric is fine grained and of light-grey colour. It features incised concentric decoration in the form neat concentric rings (turning lines) on both surfaces. The central hole measures c. 8.1mm in diameter. On the higher half the object has suffered a loss adjacent to the hole. The stone is calcareous and probably a siltstone/mudstone. A Late Iron Age/early Roman (AD20-80) copper-alloy Colchester two-piece brooch, incompletein so far as it is missing the elements of its catch-plate, and much of its pin. The wings are short, flat and rectangular. Behind the wings is a hook that curves upwards to retain the axis bar, and, above this, an integral hook curved back on itself to retain the chord. An incomplete medieval to post-medieval lead bifacial token dating to the period c. 1300-1700. Possibly Powell Type 25 depicting a crown (or alternatively Powell Type 23 depicting churches)/Powell Type 14 depicting a cross with pellet in each quarter. The token has been struck on an irregularly shaped flan which has not been trimmed to the circular border. The token has suffered two losses at its circumference. It measures 22.8mm in diameter and weighs 3.17g.
