A worn and incomplete cast lead cloth (alnage) seal of post-medieval date. Only one of the possible pair (or more) of discs survives. In low relief it is inscribed with the following lettering: '4 (inverted)? II//I M'. The other surface is plain. The angular sides of the seal suggest that it may have been cut deliberately.

Post Medieval - Modern cast lead two disc cloth seal. The disks sit one on top of the other and are joined by a tab. One had a hole in the centre and the other a projecting point which has been pushed through the hole and then stamped flat to fix them together. The tab is mostly missing from old breaks. The stamp has the initials R.W. The discs are bent and at most 27.4mm in diameter, 3.7mm thick and it weighs 14.22 grams. The simplcity of the design of initials rather than a privy mark suggests a later date, 17th-18th century (cf Egan p.84, no.234, 236 and p.86, no.242)

A slightly bent and corroded lead-alloy broadly oval object: possibly a part of a medieval cloth seal. Within an abraded border is a crozier in low relief on the upper surface. The other surface is flat, plain and without obvious means of attachment. The crozier is associated with the production of cloth at Malines (modern-day Belgium) (Cf. Egan 1994, 194; refs. 325-326).

Post medieval lead cloth seal, issued during the reign of Queen Anne. Part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. It is comprised of four discs in two conjoined pairs, joined in the centre with a rectangular tab. The seal is bent in the centre at the tab so the pairs of disks are back to back. A projecting tab on the back of one outer disk has been pushed through a hole in the other outer disk and stamped flat, joining them. Post Medieval lead cloth seal, of two disk type. Only one disk now survives with the projecting attachment on the back. The second disk and connecting strip has been lost or broken away and the break is worn. The front has a raised design of a large letter A flanked with annulets. There are the remains of a pellet border around the edge of the disk, very worn in places. It is 19.3mm by 18.5mm and 4.3mm thick; it weighs 5.63 grams. The seal is of the two-disc type and one disc and the connecting rivet attached to it survive, although the other disc and the tab that previously linked the discs is missing. The remaining disc is stamped (offset) with the letters S W with a looped bow of four points between. Where visiable, there is a double border, one narrow, the outer wider and poelleted.
