A cast copper-alloy circular trade weight of probable Medieval date (1400-1500). The weight is flat and the front face has an incuse crown close to the centre. It has a circumferential groove near the edge. The sides are vertical and the rear face has numerous multi-directional file marks. This weight has a mid-green patina and is corroded in places. Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight from a stacking set of the reign of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The weight is circular and flat on both faces with straight sides. The top has a circular indent at the centre and is stamped with a crowned EL at 5 o'clock. It is 15.4mm in diameter and 2.0mm thick; it weighs 2.62 grams ( 0.09 oz probably originally 1/8oz). The weight is discoidal, slightly raised in the central 7mm diameter area, with a central circular indentation and two radiating circumferential grooves at approximately 3mm and 8mm from the edge. A corroded, plain copper-alloy rivet-like object which might have been used to hold repairs to a vessel in place. It is sub-oval in plan with a possibly break giving a broadly straight edge to one side. On the lower surface there is an integral protruding prong towards this edge whose terminal protrudes to one side and is flattened at the base. Rolled sheet rivets replaced the earlier folded sheet rivets in pot repairs from the late 15th - 16th centuries (Egan 2005, 101) suggesting a possible late medieval to post-medieval date for this piece. A cast copper-alloy foot from a cooking vessel of later medieval to post-medieval date. The foot is sub-trapezoidal in plan with a rounded complete end. The other end has a ragged break, possibly as result of mis-casting, which extends beyond the break. A prominent median rib, semi-circular in cross-section, runs down the length of the leg. The plain object is a dusty light-green colour overlying a red-brown metal, with large areas of off-white corrosion product.
