An incomplete tinned copper alloy sugar tongs arm, of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The arm has a D-shaped, dished terminal with a short length of a pointed oval-sectioned arm. It measures 31.6 mm in length, 14.5 mm wide and 3.0 mm thick. It weighs 2.1 g. The sugar tong arm is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. Several other sugar tongs (some misidentified as possible balances) have been recorded on the PAS database, including: LEIC-A531C3; NMS-09E313 and WAW-091A4A.
