Medieval cast copper alloy suspension bar for a harness pendant of probable 13th to 14th century date. The mount is T-shaped with a horizontal top bar ending in a rounded lobe at one end with a separate copper-alloy rivet through it; the other end is lost to an old break. The sides of the bar curve inwards slightly between the ends and the centre. From the centre two bars project down which would have formed the loops to hold the axis bar on which the pendant hung. Most of the loops are missing to old breaks but there are traces of iron corrosion and part of the back of the loops stil…
