A complete cast lead or lead alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and flat with a rectangular section. It is stamped on one face with the mark "I" and a symbol. The symbol consists of a stamped grid style pattern enclosed in a circle of about 12.3mm in diameter. The back is plain. The weight is light grey in colour. It measures 33.0mm in diameter and 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 25.43g, c.0.90oz. A Post Medieval lead cloth seal dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1800. The cloth seal consists of the remains of two circular discs joined together by a connecting strip and a rivet that was pushed through the hole in one disc from the other disc and stamped flat. The surviving part consists of one complete disc with its integral rivet and part of the connecting strip now broken at the end. The rivet is stamped with a partial raised privy or merchant's mark, with a central longitudinal line flanked on its right by the letter G and on the left by another symbol. A Post Medieval lead bifaced token or possibly weight probably dating to between c. AD1500 - 1800 of Powell type 2. One side bears the raised letters L O retrograde with a line underneath. The other face is less clear and has at least two vertical lines separated by a pellet, one joining a horizontal line, probably an H or a 4. A fragment of a Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating from the 17th century. The fragment consists of approximately 25-30 per cent of two discs pressed together. It has worn breaks almost all the way around it's edge. About 10 per cent of the edge is not broken and is part of the original edge of the seal. A Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating to c. AD 1550-1800. The seal is incomplete, with only the integral rivet and an adjoining section of the disc from which it expands surviving. The surviving section of the disc depicts a design of an eagle or perhaps more likely, a griffin, advancing left, right foot in front with each talon terminating in a pellet. A Post-Medieval lead powder measure cap, probably dating to the 17th century. The cap has slightly flaring sides, with a flat, oval top. The cap has been crushed, with the sides squashed closely together. The remains of two attachment loops survive at the top of the cap, one on either side. Faint vertical casting seams are visible on either side of the cap, on a line perpendicular to the attachment loops. The measure cap is 28.13mm iin length, 21.04mm in width and weighs 10.93g.
