A continental copy of an Edwardian penny issued by John the Blind of Luxemburg, King of Bohemia. This coin dates to after he became King of Bohemia in 1310 AD and before he relinquished his claim to the Polish throne in 1335 AD. Meyhew suggests they are relatively early in that period (1983, p103-4) probably 1310-1325 AD. They are usually fine silver (90%+) but a debased (50%) example is known of Mayhew 261. It is probably fine silver but gone brown due to being in iron rich Wealden clay (Mayhew 1983, 267-262).

One half, the hook part, of a 17th century cast copper alloy clothes fastener. The hook is a wide flat strip with a curved end bent forward 180 degrees, the tip of which is missing. The hook is attached to one end of an oval plate. The central area of the plate has a raised floral design within a triple line border. The hook is flanked by two circular attachment holes one on either sid and there is another single attachment hole at the opposite end, flanked by rounded knops. Post Medieval cast copper alloy double looped buckle with oval expansions at the centre of each loop with moulded rosettes on the front and lobed knops at the end of the narrowed strap bar. There are significant remains of a wrought iron pin on one loop and on the strap bar. It is 44 mm long, 31.7mm wide and weights 9.08 grams. Whitehead (2003) p.66, no.408 which he dates to c.1550-1650 AD.

Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount. It has a central D shaped section with incised radiating lines creating a scallop shell appearance. There are large lobed knops projecting from the opposite ends (one in the centre of the straight edge of the D one in the centre of the curve). The one projecting from the straight edge starts with a narrow projecting bar which expands into a terminal in the form of a square flanked by triangles. An Iron Age brooch of the La Tene IBb style (400-272 BC). The brooch is cast from a single piece of copper alloy. Half of the spring and all of the pin are missing. Only two loops of the spring remain on one side of the head. The bow has a semicircular arched profile and is oval in plan with a integrally cast valley running along the centre of the front. The foot with the catchplate is flat, level with the head. The catchplate is triangular, to one side of the foot and the outer edge curves up 90 degrees. Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop buckle with plain undecorated oval loops and narrowed strap bar. The object is 25mm in length and 23mm at its widest point. It weighs 3.26g. A similar buckle is illustrated in Whitehead (2003:54, no.310) which he dates to circa 1500-1650 AD.
