An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger-ring (c. AD 300-410). The bezel is off-set to one side of the hoop and may have been designed as such. There is a small break on the edge of the bezel. This finger-ring has a flat, circular bezel which is decorated with a pattern of incised lines within a circular border. The decoration consists of two opposing 'chevrons' which may form an 'X' or a crude cross saltire. In three angles there is a short incised line. An incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper-alloy Langton Down type brooch (AD 25-60). The pin, spring mechanism and the lower part of the bow, including the catch-plate, are missing. The brooch is generally T-shaped in plan and has wings which are semi-cylindrical and open at the rear. In plan, the bow narrows from the wings towards the break at the bottom. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy double dolphin brooch (c. AD 150-c. 250). The pin is largely missing. These stylised dolphins are parallel and are joined together at the tails and about mid-way along the bodies. The dolphin's heads abut a horizontal bar which has a pair of pin lugs at the rear. The lugs contain a copper-alloy axis bar and the loop of an iron pin. Behind the tails an elongated stub is the remains of a catch-plate. In side profile the brooch is 'S'-shaped. An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy pointed oval (vesica-shaped) personal seal matrix dating to the 13th century (1200-1300). The matrix is flat and the front is engraved with a central motif with a surrounding inscription. At the rear it has a central raised rib along the longitudinal axis. The suspension loop is now missing, with a scar at the top of the reverse, and the matrix is very worn. The motif is a single engraved fleur-de-lis and no borders survive.
