A copper-alloy book clasp dating to c.16th to 17th century. The fitting consists of a rectangular plate with a hooking tab at one end and a flaring scalloped fan tail at the other. The hooking tab end is expanded then narrowed in a T-shape and decorated with two wide vertical grooves then bent into a hook. A cast copper-alloy post-medieval one-piece button dating to the 17th to 18th century. The button is circular and flat in, with traces of an integral fastening loop which has broken off on the reverse, leaving two stubs. The front of the button is decorated with an engraved round petalled flower backed with six pointed leaves. The rosette is surrounded by a circular grooved border, following the edge of the button. A copper-alloy Post Medieval hooked clasp sword belt fitting dating to 1500 to 1650. The fitting is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the fitting would have been sub-rectangular but has two breaks one in each corner, the piece tapers into the 'eye' loop by a double moulded crescent. The outer face is decorated with two raised, rounded domes (now corroded) placed above the rivets. There are two rivet holes on the reverse both are encrusted with iron corrosion.
