An end scraper. There is long, parallel, abrupt retouch around the proximal end on the ventral face, removing the striking platform. There may also have been very short, abrupt retouch on the distal end to produce an irregular outline, although this may also be due to natural fracture when the flake was sruck from the core. Unlike with thumbnail or round scrapers the retouch covers only a small part of the circumference. The scraper was made on a secondary flake, c.5% cortex remains, with a prominent bulb of percussion. A flint bladelet with a bulb of percussion visible at one shorter end and a hinge fracture at the other; it is rounded at this latter end. The flint is a light grey colour with some patches of iron staining. There are two removals down the length of the flake on the dorsal face while the ventral face is smooth, as struck. The edges are serrated, but no obvious human retouch can be discerned. The object has the following dimensions: Weight: 3.24g, Length: 40.33mm, Width: 18.86mm, Thickness: 3.51mm. It can be dated broadly from the Mesolithic to Neolithic.

A polished flint axe head dating to the early to mid Neolithic (c. 3500 - c. 2500 BC). The flint has a weathered and iron stained pale to mid-orange colour. It is roughly triangular in plan with a convex curved blade 52.5mm wide, tapering sides 97.9mm long and a broken butt which is now 22.5mm wide but clearly narrowed further originally. Six waste flakes and one snapped blade with possible use chipping in places from informal tool use. Four tertiary pieces including the blade and three secondary flakes with c. 5 to 10% cortex remaining. All show evidence of careful knapping with long parallel arrises on many. Eleven bladelets (max 3.1 grams, min 0.3 gram); none appear to be retouched suggesting they are have been discarded with the remainder of the knapping waste. They are finely knapped with long, parallel arises. One secondary flake (10% cortex on one side) the remainder are tertiary. Ranging from dark to light grey flint, the lighter pieces are less translucent and mottled with ligher/darker areas. Total weight 15.7 grams.
