A slightly worn and bent late 8th-/early 9th-century silver early-medieval penny of Coenwulf of Mercia (796-821 AD), Later group type struck by Wodel at the East Anglian mint (c. 798 - 821 AD; North 369; Cn. 111). This coin has suffered a small loss to its circumference but otherwise survives very well.
