Roman copper-alloy nummus of Constantine I dating to the period AD 308 to 309 (Reece period 15). PRINCIPI-IV-VENTVTIS Prince standing facing, head left in military dress, holding standard in each hand. Minted at Lyon. RIC VI, p. 264, no. 299.
The coin has a patch of silver metal visible at 4 o'clock on the obverse. Nummi of this period were agentiferous copper alloy, ie they contained a small content of silver (decreasing from 4% in AD 307 to 1.5% in AD 310).
