The letter S on the reverse is distinctive and not easily associated with Class 9b; it may be that this is a mule with a Class 10ab reverse. However, the reverse is too worn to be certain about this.

The matrix has a circular die with hexagonally faceted conical handle to the reverse, expanding into a lozenge-shaped terminal with a central piercing 4.35mm in diameter.
