A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval plain double-looped buckle frame. The frame is missing one of its loops after an old break at the pin bar. The surviving loop is trapezoidal, with a flat lower surface and an upper surface which is bevelled externally. This gives the frame a triangular cross-section, while the pin bar is semi-circular in section. There is a knopped protrusion at each end of the pin bar. Traces of orange corrosion product at one end of the pin bar suggest that the pin may have been made of iron. The frame has a dark-grey surface where it survive…

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to early post-medieval date. The frame was formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface, the latter more shallowly; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar thus has a trapezoidal cross-section. The pin is now largely missing, apart from the orange/brown corroded mass, the remnant of the iron pin. It is sub-circular and slightly curved in profile, with the section above the slot slightly misaligned to that below. The vessel is also curved and c. 3.5mm thick. Its dark orange-brown colour suggests that this is a corroded iron cooking vessel, of early post-medieval date.

A Roman incomplete cast copper alloy devolved T-shaped brooch of local type with a expanded fan shaped head plate. The head has a D shaped plate with protruding lugs on the reverse to hold the pin bar in place, which is now lost. The bow has a rectangular cross section. It projects outwards at 90 degrees from the head before curving inwards. The bow tapers towards the foot and is broken just before the foot, the lower section survives. A Medieval cast copper-alloy bow of a rotary key. The bow is lozenge-shaped with a knop on the top corner. The inner side is stepped in several places giving a slightly cruciform shape. Cast lead vessel repair (pot mend). Oval with two irregularly shaped outer sides joined by a smaller central section. In the groove created between the outer sides there are traces of the original pot. The pottery appears to be of sandy dark orange fabric. It is 36.8 mm by 32.6mm, 10.2 mm thick and weighs 48.07 g. Pot mends of this form are found in both Roman and Medieval periods, as a common way to repair broken pottery. The remains of the original pot seem to be Roman in date although it is too fragmentary to be completely certain.

A cast lead-alloy circular uni-faced token with three visible casting spruces at the cardinal points. The token has a raised design of the initial 'E' on one side, the other side is blank. It is 21.20mm in diameter, 1.85 mm thick and weighs 4.8 grams. Lead tokens were locally made and had a wide variety of uses; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval in date, 1500-1850 AD.

Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular unifaced token (1250-1850 AD). The token has been cast with a raised design of a equal arm cross on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. The token measures 15.8mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 1.80 grams. The edges are starting to laminate and crumble away suggesting it has a higher tin content than usual. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).

Cast lead alloy decorated spindle whorl. The whorl is circular with a flat base and domed top, slightly flattened in the centre, and a circular hole running through the centre. The upper side is decorated with raised lines radiating out from the central hole, these are thought to help the spindle work as well as be decorative. It is 32.7 mm in diameter and 11.6 mm thick; weights 52.5 grams. Locally cast lead spindle whorls were in use from the Roman to Post Medieval period and are hard to date precisely.

It is 21.1 mm in diameter, 2.38 mm thick and weighs 4.5 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely and ones with simple designs like this could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).
