Cast copper alloy hooked clasp with openwork design. This is the hooked section of a two part clasp. The main plate is heart shaped with a trefoil opening in the centre. At the top projects a rounded knop containing the residue of an iron rivet in the centre. The lower point of the heart extends downwards and continues into a forward facing blunt hook. Lozenge shaped cast copper alloy terminal from a larger item. It is oval in section with rounded edges and slightly convex upper and lower faces. At one end the piece comes to a point, at the other it ends in an old break, 4.9mm across. There is an indent in the centre of one side next to the break, this may be deliberate or damage. Length 25.8mm, width 10.8mm, thickness 3.4mm. Weight 3.56 grams. Such a small peice could be a componant of many different objects including pendants, strap fittings and implements.

Medieval cast copper alloy single looped buckle frame with pin. The buckle is rectangular with rounded corners. It is highly corroded and any surface decoration has been lost. The loop of the iron pin has corroded in place at one end of the pin bar. A similar buckle can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 26; ref. 126) which he dates to c1300-1500 AD.

An incomplete lead-alloy piece of uncertain date: probably a piece of casting waste. It is a strip, triangular in section with very concave sides. One end is rounded the other has an old, almost square break. The lower side is slightly irregular. Emerging from the spine on the upper surface are six pellets spaced equally along its length. These extend down the sides and have all been truncated, with old breaks. They could be sprues from the casting process. It is 40.1mm long, 13.2mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 8.40 grams.

Post Medieval - Modern cast lead two disc cloth seal. The disks sit one on top of the other and are joined by a tab. One had a hole in the centre and the other a projecting point which has been pushed through the hole and then stamped flat to fix them together. The tab is mostly missing from old breaks. The stamp has the initials R.W. The discs are bent and at most 27.4mm in diameter, 3.7mm thick and it weighs 14.22 grams. The simplcity of the design of initials rather than a privy mark suggests a later date, 17th-18th century (cf Egan p.84, no.234, 236 and p.86, no.242)

The flint is a light grey colour with some patches of iron staining. There are two removals down the length of the flake on the dorsal face while the ventral face is smooth, as struck. The edges are serrated, but no obvious human retouch can be discerned. The object has the following dimensions: Weight: 3.24g, Length: 40.33mm, Width: 18.86mm, Thickness: 3.51mm. It can be dated broadly from the Mesolithic to Neolithic.

Medieval cast copper alloy 'beehive' shaped thimble with central hole. The thimble is almost hemispherical with slightly lengthened sides. The small circular pits are arranged in an irregular spiral from the base to the top leaving a small bare tonsure with a cenral circular hole. There is also a fine incised line around the base just above the rim. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy hooked tag. The tag is flat backed and has a moulded front. The central plate is oval extending into a point at one side with a raised line border containing raised floral/foliate decoration. The oval attachement loop is attached opposite the pointed side and is brocken and bent at one side from an old break. Six waste flakes and one snapped blade with possible use chipping in places from informal tool use. Four tertiary pieces including the blade and three secondary flakes with c. 5 to 10% cortex remaining. All show evidence of careful knapping with long parallel arrises on many. Dark to light grey mottled flint, some with orange iron staining; the snapped blade is in high quality translucent dark grey flint. Total weight 45.2 grams.

Thirteen large waste flakes. Two tertiary pieces, ten secondary flakes with c. 5 to 20% cortex remaining and one primary flake showing all stages of knapping were being carried out. Three show evidence of burning. Dark to light grey mottled flint, with one orange-brown piece. Largest (primary flake) 63 grams, smallest (one of the burnt pieces) 5 grams, total weight 238 grams.
